Google Book Empire?

As I was procrastiresearching I came across this interesting article about a current case regarding the digitization of books.

    Kahle is like the radical rock star dude of the library/archive worlds (an unsettling comparison, perhaps). I find this observation of his really chilling:

    "Libraries, going forward, may just be subscribers to a few monopoly corporations’ databases."

    Sigh.
