Mark Twain Project

This is actually pretty interesting. The Mark Twain Project [http://www.marktwainproject.org/homepage.html] intends to digitize the entire corpus of Twain's writing in an easy to read format. That, in itself, is fairly standard for digital libraries. More interesting, however, is the format and annotation that they apply to the text. When reading through the book, a full list of textual annotations run side by side with the text. The points in the text that are annotated are marked by blue brackets which can be clicked on to bring the specific note to the top of the list, though all of the notes remain visible throughout the entire reading. Simultaneously, yellow brackets in the text indicate changes from manuscript to manuscript in the revision process. Finally, you are given the capability to search the entire Twain canon for any term that you care to. Pretty nifty.
