Critical Commons

I was recently introduced to Critical Commons by Prof. Kara Keeling through our Deleuze and Culture seminar. For film/media studies students, the site is an incredible resource for preparing, sharing, and tagging clips related to course work and other research. My initial response to the Critical Commons is that it functions like an academically informed Youtube—but upon digging a little deeper, I realize that there is much more going on here including lectures, fair use guidelines and news. In the context of the seminar, students will be posting and tagging clips of films Deleuze writes about in his two books on the cinema.
